Reeds are 45mm +/- in diameter and 270-300mm +/- high. They stand 1.80m high overall on a solid 6mm mild steel rod.
The reeds may have fine lines, knots or bark seams. Macrocarpa is naturally durable, will not rot. The reeds are oiled to enhance the grain and colour.
